Emily Pacilio is a performer, choreographer, dance educator, and certified yoga teacher. She performs with Trainor Dance, CabinFever, Designated Movement Company, Emily Craver and the Little Streams, Saint Fortune, and Jamal Jackson Dance Company. Her own company, The Basics, is exploring new dance audiences through multidisciplinary experimental comedy, and has been presented across New York City. Emily’s performance and creative endeavors are integral to her teaching style, rooted in classical techniques while encouraging individuality, exploration, and freedom of movement. Emily has over ten years of educational experience, with students ranging in age from 5 to 75. She has taught modern, ballet, jazz, creative movement, musical theater, and yoga in NYC public schools, at Peridance, Rosie’s Theater Kids, the Calhoun School, Barnard College, and many more.
